A. Two Year Higher Secondary Course

The College has been conducting H.S. classes in Arts, Science and Commerce under A.H.S.E.C. in response to the public demand of the region. Admission to H.S. course is open to those who have passed H.S.L.C under A.H.S.E.C or equivalent examinations under other Boards/Councils recognized by A.H.S.E.C. Classes in each stream are held in two Sections-A & B. that run simultaneously. The total number of seats stream-wise, is as follows:
Science (Sec -A) 125

Subject combinations for H.S. classes

English and M.I.L./ Alternative English are compulsory for all the three streams. M.I.L. includes Assamese, Bengali, Hindi, Nepali and Bodo. For H.S. Science Stream (Section-A & B): English, M.I.L. / Alternative English and One of the following groups (including the optional Fourth subject)

For H.S. Commerce (Section-A)

English, M.I.L./ Alternative English, Accountancy, Business Studies and any two subjects (including the optional Fourth subject) from the following elective subjects:

For H.S. Commerce (Section-B )

English, M.I.L./ Alternative English, Accountancy, Business Studies and any two subjects (including the optional Fourth subject) from the following elective subjects:

Admission to H.S. Course is done on merit basis, i.e. on the basis of the total marks secured out of 600 in matriculation examination. Reservations will be as per Govt. rules. Decision of the Admission Committee regarding admissions is final. If for the last seat there are two or more candidates then, in case of Arts and Commerce the candidate having higher marks in English and in case of Science the candidate having higher marks in Mathematics will get preference. In addition to the three elective subjects from a stream a student may have the option to offer a fourth elective subject, preferably from the same stream. However, a student may offer the 4th elective subject from other stream also. It is desired that students of all streams shall choose their elective subjects keeping in view their future courses of higher studies in general and other professional courses.

HS 1ST YEAR ANNUAL EXAMS ARE HELD AS PER AHSEC NORMS.STUDENTS FAILING IN THE SAME WILL NOT BE PROMOTED TO THE 2ND YEAR CLASS.

B. Three Year Degree Course

The College is conducting Three Year Degree Course in Science, Arts and Commerce streams in Semester mode under Gauhati University. Admission to T.D.C. is open to those who have passed H.S. or equivalent Examinations of other organizations recognized by Gauhati University. The course is divided into two Sections in Arts and Commerce streams. Section A constitutes Major Course and Section B constitutes General Course. Science Stream has only Section-A and within this Section students are admitted to Major and General Course. Minimum percentage of marks required for admission in various Major Subjects
